Throwback to three years ago...I did something I could have never imagined even a year before that. I competed in my first ballroom dance competition. It was April of 2018, and I had just started taking lessons with my teacher Roberto at the end of January, 2018. I definitely went way out of my comfort zone to start the lesson program, let alone participate in a competition! It was an amazing experience and was the start of an incredible journey for me in the world of pro-am ballroom dance with an absolutely fabulous teacher. I have written about different aspects of this in other blog posts, and I must admit it was incredible to develop a passion for something new at this stage of my life. This first competition lead to 18 more over the following 2 years which only came to an end (or hopefully just a pause) last March at the start of the pandemic. I look forward to returning to the competition floor some day. It was truly a dream come true, and the beautiful thing is...it was a dream I didn't even know I had.💃🏻
